Client Feedback

I have been working with Emma for five months and thanks to her help I feel like I am finally getting to know myself after years of confusion. I had been in therapy for sixteen years before meeting Emma and had made a lot of progress but always had the sense that something else was going on that I couldn’t identify. I came to Emma because I suspected I had ADHD but really I had no idea I was neurodivergent and I was resistant to terms such as ADHD and especially autism because of my own preconceptions. Emma has helped me understand my own unique neurodivergent profile and works with me on the things I struggle with. She is informative, compassionate, funny, kind, accepting and non-judgmental. Looking at both the present and the past through the lens of neurodivergence has taken away all the confusion and frustration that I have always felt about why I am the way I am.

It’s very healing. I feel especially freed by accepting my autism.

Therapy I have with Emma takes it out of the model that there is something wrong with me that needs to be fixed or changed or medicalized and puts it in the realm of there being nothing wrong with me at all, I just didn’t know myself and family and society doesn’t know how to deal with neurodivergence. I have never felt more connected to myself and to life and this is very much due to the work I am doing with Emma.

I cannot recommend her highly enough.
