Unmasking the Neurodivergent Therapist - The Foundations
Course 1
This training offers neurodivergent therapists a comprehensive curriculum to strengthen expertise, confidence, and enrich practice.
Participants will gain practical tools through the Neurodivergent Competency Framework, alongside skills to deliver affirming practice.
Historical narratives are examined, showing how they shaped neurodivergence and inviting more inclusive perspectives.
Core content examines Autism and broader Neurodivergent Theory, challenging misconceptions and highlighting lived realities.
Intersectionality is focused on, recognising overlapping identities.
Exploring innovative academic and community-led models will inspire fresh approaches. Each session blends theory, reflection, and strategies, ensuring participants leave ready to reshape their practice, dismantle barriers and join a supportive neurodivergent professional community.

Course 2
Unmasking the Neurodivergent Therapist: The Foundations is a reflective CPD training designed for neurodivergent counsellors and psychotherapists. The course explores masking as a survival strategy and examines its emotional, relational, and ethical impact within therapeutic practice.
Through teaching, reflection, and discussion, participants are supported to increase self-awareness, recognise the cost of prolonged masking, and explore the balance between professionalism and authentic presence.
The training emphasises ethical boundaries, client safety, and practitioner sustainability, offering practical strategies for unmasking safely and intentionally.
The course aligns with reflective practice, ethical decision making, and sustainable therapeutic work.
